Oh my... lots of catching up to do! I was swamped throughout the holidays. Between holiday sessions, my baby girl's FIRST Birthday party planning and Christmas, I barely had time to breathe. Now, here I sit.... could it be the calm after the storm...? Maybe. But, I doubt it.

I have been taking this family's pictures for a few years now and I LOVE watching these kids grow! Such a great family to work with, too. This year it was quite an adventure. We headed down to the beach for some BEAUTIFUL weather and pictures. It all was going so well... well, minus the fear of sand and some tears. :) But, we ended the session with a big goose egg on the little boy's forehead. :( Poor guy. But, he was such a trooper and toughed it out! :)

This very..... loooooooong..... "session," was something that I had so much fun doing. Just being there and rolling with all the emotions during that VERY early morning. It was so special and I'm so glad that I got to capture all the little moments that the mommy doesn't really get to see. Or, I should say, isn't really all "there," to see it. :) And so special that it got to be of my nephew - the first boy in our family.

I have fallen completely in love with these photos. I just may blow one up, frame it and hang it above my mantel where I can see it every day and smile. :) Now, I may be a bit bias, because these two cutie patooties are my niece & nephew. But, boy oh boy, are they cute...?! It wasn't the easiest session. Then again, what session is "easy?" Next time we'll just have to remember two things- marshmallows and ducks!

I have been eyeing this location for MONTHS now. I like to call it my "Texas location." :) It's a beautiful spot. These girls were beautiful. I caught beautiful moments. And I'm a sucker for capturing the "in the moment." It's all about capturing all those little moments that quickly pass us by without even thinking about them. It's about capturing life as it is. Bottling up these memories and restoring them in photos so that they may grace the walls of our homes; where the love continues to grow.

And I hope these pictures are blown up as HUGE prints and placed all over their house. If not, I just may hang them in my own. ;)

Sheesh, welcome back, Kristy, huh?! Where have I been? Oh yeah, with two little girls that keep me going, non-stop, every day. One little sweet girl that just turned 3 a few weeks ago. And with our newest, little cupcake- Abigail Reese. Between breakfast, lunch and dinner, I'm doing feedings, changing diapers (and by that, I mean MANY diapers), I'm playing princesses and fairies, I'm doing laundry, putting away laundry, cleaning up toys...just to clean up more toys 25 minutes later, I'm vacuuming up crumbs from lunch, cleaning, doing more laundry and more feedings and...okay, I'll stop. :) Anyway, I'm back up and running! You need pictures, CALL ME! I'd LOVE to get out of the house!! :) Leave the kiddos with the hubby. It's always good for some empathy. :)

Here are some pictures of the oh-so-sweet Abby Reese. I'm a photographer and believe it or not, I haven't done a session with her since. Ridiculous, I know. One is in order- ASAP!

There's Someone New Living Here...

I'd like to introduce the newest little somebody that entered the world on December 20, 2010. Abigail Reese. Healthy. Precious. Oh-So-Sweet. And kissable. All 8lbs 13oz of her. :)

What a wonderful early Christmas present she was. She broke my water and we welcomed her 11 days early.

My Oh-So-Sweet Little Girl...(2 1/2)

Some love going out to my sweet little girl, Ella. You would think this child had a million photos of herself around our house, but no. I take way more of other kids than I do of my own. I know, I know. So, I set aside a day to have a photo session with her. I captured her personality perfectly on the camera and so glad I did! And then I had to use a little bribery... Yes, I swore I'd never bribe my children. And I'm pretty sure I made that promise before I had children. But, I really needed to use some bribery to get her to look AND smile at the camera. Usually it's head turned and eyes closed.
So, here's to you Ella Gracey Girl. I love you with all my heart and these pictures will now overflow my hallway frames.

This sweet baby girl's mommy and I went to high school together. It was so nice seeing mommy and her precious little princess and having the honor of taking her newborn pictures. As well as being the one that gets to follow her throughout her first year of life. I'm so excited!
I took these pictures at grandma's house and I think it's so special that she had this room decorated while mommy was pregnant. She did it in pink and yellow because she just KNEW she would be having a granddaughter. I love incorporating personal things into my photography....

Yes, these adorable little girls are mine. Well... my nieces. :) This session went smoother than I thought. Maybe because Mommy stayed at home with her niece! Oh and maybe the M&M's sitting in the center-console, staring right at them had just a tiny bit to do with it. Just maybe. They were great and listened to everything Auntie had to say.
